During the Nazi occupation of Budapest from 1944 to 1945, George Soros and his family concealed their Jewish identity using false documents. Despite the overwhelming odds, they resisted the oppressive regime and even extended aid to others. Soros has stated, "We prevailed, not only surviving but also assisting others."
Soros has expressed concern about the misinterpretation and weaponization of his words in the context of conspiracy theories. "It makes it challenging to communicate effectively," he said, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused Soros of global interference. In a 2018 television interview in Austria, Putin asserted, "He intervenes in matters worldwide." However, the United States State Department has denied any involvement, claiming that Soros's actions are solely his own.
